1. About Fledge
Fledge provides an online platform that enables young people (aged 10–16) to create and operate their own online shop under the supervision of a parent or guardian. By using Fledge you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
- Account holders (parents/guardians) must be 18 or over.
- The young person operating the shop must have the account holder's permission.
- You must be resident in the United Kingdom.
3. Your shop
- You are responsible for all products listed and sold through your shop.
- Products must be legal, genuine, and accurately described.
- You must not sell age-restricted goods, digital downloads without proper licensing, counterfeit items, or anything illegal.
- Fledge reserves the right to remove any listing or suspend any shop without notice.
4. Payments and fees
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By selling on Fledge you also agree to Stripe's terms.
- Fledge charges no platform commission. Stripe's standard processing fees apply.
- You are responsible for accounting for and paying any tax due on your earnings.
5. Consumer rights
As a seller you must comply with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Buyers have the right to a 14-day return period for distance sales.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Fledge to:
- Publish false, misleading, or defamatory content.
- Infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
- Harass, abuse, or harm any other user.
7. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you upload. By publishing it on Fledge you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it for the purposes of operating the service.
8. Limitation of liability
Fledge is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss of profits, data, or indirect damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Termination
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@getfledge.co.uk.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
